Shipley Round Robin Matchplay 2008

One-day event. Six rounds. Rated Only.
Format Groups of six. Five-round Round Robin plus one round KOTH, six rounds in total. Everyone plays six rounds, with repeat pairings for the sixth round.
Entry Fee £12.50 ABSP members/£14.50 non-members. Deduct 50p if bringing a clock. Includes Ratings Levy.
Prizes Group winner and one ratings prize. Players starting in the bottom three of the group by rating qualifies for a ratings prize. If one of these players wins the group, then the ratings prize will go to the runner-up of the group.
Entries maximum of 60 players. If entries don't add up to multiples of six, then the bottom group will be a Swiss/KOTH group, with repeat pairings for the sixth round.
Notes
- Players will be placed into groups according to ratings. Unrated players are placed at Organiser's discretion.
- The venue is the same as for the NSC Qualifiers. A map is available upon request. It is next to the ASDA car park.
- Tea & coffee will be on sale during the day. There's an ASDA nearby. Please bring a packed lunch.
- The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry. Refunds cannot be guaranteed for late notice cancellations.
- The closing date is Saturday 20 September 2008.
- Timetable: 9:00-9:30 Arrivals & Registration; Game 1 start at 9:45am prompt; Prizes/Presentation at approx 17:15. Finish no later than 17:30.
